Hi All, Wishing you a very happy new year! I hope everyone is keeping well and had a lovely Christmas break. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to the classroom this month but don't worry, we will be working online from Google Classroom daily! Please check that you can log into Google Classroom from your device at home and email me ASAP if you have any issues.
[email protected] A book collection will take place on Monday 11th January from 12-2.30pm. I hope you can make it to collect all you need for online teaching and learning.
Best wishes, Ms. Kierans
Friday 20th November For the last two weeks, we have been learning about Early Christian Ireland and monasteries. We took a close look at Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly and created digital projects in pairs using the chromebooks. Check out the links to our presentations below!
Science Week 2020 We had great fun during Science Week. We focused on physics, particularly paper airplanes and hovercrafts! We learned all about Isaac Newton and his three laws of motion. We created our own hovercrafts and paper airplanes and had a competition to see whose design went the furthest!
MATHS WEEK 2020
HAUNTED HOUSE ART - DRAWING LESSON
The Romans This month, we have been learning all about Ancient Rome and the Romans. We worked as a group in our pods, each reading a different factsheet about The Romans and then had to teach the rest of our group members everything we learned! We presented the information to the class at the end.
Check out our Roman aqueducts! We worked in teams to create these and tested them out at the end. Everyone’s Aqueduct worked well, allowing water to flow through and we were very excited with the results. Thanks to everyone for bringing in the materials. It was a fantastic STEM project!
Welcome Back!
We have had a brilliant few weeks back to school and have settled well into our new routines. Keep an eye on this blog for class updates and to check in on what we've been up to in class!
